Rockville

Rockville is located north of Bethesda off I-270. Rockville remained an agricultural community through much of the 18th and 19th centuries until the B&O Railroad arrived in 1873. With a direct line from Washington, Rockville’s population increased and new ventures were pursued outside Washington’s boundaries. Residents can pick up the Red Line metro at the Rockville station. Main roads are I-270, Rockville Pike, Wootton Parkway, Norbeck Road and Gude Drive. The MARC train is also available at Rockville station.
